Past EVENTS:
OCTOBER 7, 2017 (4TH ANNUAL N8’s ARMY 1K/5K/10K)
Another great event at the historic Rio Bravo Ranch with hundreds of participants running the 5K and 10K. The addition of the 1K-Walk option turned out to be a popular addition. Thanks to our many volunteers and sponsors we were able to hit our goal and raise just over $50,000.00!!! Thank you everyone for your continued love and support!
OCTOBER 4, 2017 (DOWNTOWN ELEMENTARY PENNY WARS)
Downtown Elementary has once again gone above and beyond in making a difference in pediatric cancer. This is the grand total from their PENNY WARS…and boy did they have an eventful week and an exciting battle! But beyond the excitement from announcing the winning class… is seeing each student, teacher, and parent at this school help “change” the lives of the families affected by pediatric cancer. On behalf of our family and the N8Foundation, THANK YOU!
MARCH 23, 2017 (TAHOE JOE’S DINNER FUNDRAISER)
What a fun night! We would like to thank Tahoe Joe’s Steakhouse for hosting such a well organized and successful fundraising event benefiting the N8 Foundation. Thank you to everyone who dined in and ordered take-out. Our board members enjoyed running into everyone! We would also like to send a BIG thank you to Jodi Gentry, Holly Gonzalez and Jeremy Scheidle for setting up the event and for all of your ongoing help and dedicated work for the Foundation!
OCTOBER 1, 2016 (3rd ANNUAL NATHAN’S ARMY 5K/10K)
The Nathan’s Army 3rd Annual “Run to Remember” was another huge success with over 425 registered runners participating, numerous volunteers helping and approximately $50,000.00 raised!!! We also expanded the event and added a new trail 10K option which turned out to be a popular addition.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers who helped to make this such a great event. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised will go straight to research and family grants to assist local families with children who are currently battling the disease.

SEPTEMBER 2015 (THE N8 FOUNDATION JOINED WITH THE BCSD TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT PEDIATRIC CANCER AND RESEARCH) – September was Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. During the month, the N8 Foundation was blessed and honored to partner with the Bakersfield City School District (BCSD) for rally weeks and “penny wars” which were held at multiple schools throughout the District the entire month. The event was another huge success and raised over $15,000!!! To put that in perspective, that is one and a half MILLION pennies! The rallies cumulated with a MONSTER rally at Cato Middle School where the BCSD surprised us all and presented The N8 Foundation with a giant check for $14,541 (not including several additional donations which came in the following week). Thank you again BCSD for getting involved and showing that you care about our kids!
